2010 India Trip

In September of 2010 I had the blessing and privilege of going to a little village area not far from Hyderabad, India. Together with a youth group from our Suji SDA Language School church in S. Korea (where I was teaching as a missionary at the time), I made the journey. They asked me to be the speaker! I know it was God's work from the very beginning to the end! What an incredible blessing! We had our hardships along the way of course, but what a blessing! We stayed in India for about one week. During that time we had a reaping/gathering series held in connection to some previous work done by missionary Bible workers in that area just prior to our arrival. The Korean youth group held special Bible programs for the children, did community visitations and sung special music programs at our nightly meetings! Everyone worked together and we were all blessed! I was able to preach six power-packed (i.e. by the Holy Spirit), Bible-filled, Christ-centered messages during our short time there. The people were quite responsive. Besides a few local Christians, we had many Hindus in attendance, who after each meeting requested special prayers, and even a Muslim man who came, at the peril of his life, to hear our gospel message and was deeply touched! The Holy Spirit blessed and since there was quite a bit of previous Bible work done in the area we were able to witness the mass baptism of nearly 30 people! What a joy from heaven it was!

2012 Kenya Trip

In March of 2012 I was able to visit the Republic of Kenya. In the little town of Kisii, Kenya I know a very sincere Seventh-day Adventist Christian man who is running an orphanage on his own, along with his wife, and several volunteers. He also does a number of Evangelistic outreach efforts (along with some other lay-Evangelists) to the local community and the surrounding areas. It was a blessing to be able to visit there and to see the orphanage work, to do some Evangelistic outreach meetings, and offer some financial assistance to the orphanage work taking place there. At one of the Evangelistic outreach meetings you can see where our group of lay-Evangelists are passing out Bibles to those most regular attendees who were, like many there, completely without any Bible copy of their own (raising funds for this lay-ministry and for additional Bibles is also a concern that anyone interested may help with). Additionally, I was blessed to be able to hold a week of prayer series for the youth, young adults, and others at one of the local churches there in the Kisii area. (To learn more about this orphanage work and how you might be able to offer assistance to them, please visit my page on Helping those in need).

Ministry in South Korea (Fall 2009-2013)

Doing ministry in South Korea I had the blessing of sharing Jesus Christ in the classroom everyday with ESL students from all backgrounds and walks of life! Every day we would begin our English classes with prayer and explanation of a text from the Bible, along with the grace and Spirit of God (who always helps us). I've seen so many blessings in this work. God touched many people's hearts and many developed a desire to seek more deeply for God's truth. In our daily work we would teach both children and adults. The Lord always gave me opportunities to glorify His name! In addition to teaching the ESL classes I also taught Bible classes five days a week, gave personal Bible studies, and offered spiritual programs on the weekends. The Lord has blessed this so much and I've seen many souls dedicate their lives to God in Baptism, and by sincere commitment to follow Christ and His commandments.
